The Doosan PUMA 280 is a robust 2-axis CNC slant-bed lathe engineered for high-performance turning of medium to large-sized workpieces. Powered by an 18.5 kW (approx. 30 HP) spindle motor, it delivers a maximum speed of 3,500 RPM, providing ample power and speed for efficient material removal across various metals and plastics. Its design features a maximum swing over the bed of 630mm (approx. 24.8″) and a maximum turning diameter of 420mm, accommodating sizable components.

The machine is built around a rigid 12-station turret for quick tool changes, with rapid traverse rates up to 24 m/min to minimize non-cut time. The FANUC 21i-TB control offers reliable automation, repeatability, and ease of programming, making it suitable for high-mix or high-volume production. A tailstock provides additional support for long workpieces, while options like a chip conveyor enhance productivity by managing swarf effectively.
